Swedish companies report stable and positive trade growth between Sweeden and Bulgaria

DTK Electronics participated in the presentation “Bulgaria – an Attractive Market for Swedish Business”  that was held at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden in Sofia. Mrs Polina Petkova from Business Sweeden  presented results of a survey held among 40 Swedish companies operating in Bulgaria. The respondents represent many sectors in B2B and B2C businesses in Bulgaria., such as ICT, Manufacturing, Construction, Energy, Transport Sysytems, Chemicals & Healthcare, Environment, and Retail.

According to the survey data, the main advantages for investing in Bulgaria are:

-       The country’s EU membership,

-       Low Labour Costs and access to skilled employees

-       Low Income Tax

-       Growing Bulgarian Market

-       Aceessability to other Balkan countries

-       Sourcing possibilities ( high quality and low cost)

The main conclusions of the survey is that despite some challenges, such as political environment and market compatition, Sweedish companies believe in the potential of the Bulgarian market, regardless if the perspective is short, mid, or long term. Moreover, there is potential for Bulgarian companies to invest and expand in Sweeden.
